About me
Ever since high school I have been involved with school newspapers and other publications (newsletters, yearbooks). At Mount Holyoke News, I started off as the Events Editor and was soon promoted to the Assistant News Editor position. The next semester I was the News Editor, and then the Managing Editor for Web. I have also been a regular contributor for Mount Holyoke News, writing and reporting for the News, Op/Ed, Perspectives and Books sections.
As a Journalism student, I have taken multiple classes in writing fiction and non-fiction which have honed my skills are a writer over time. I am specifically interested in narrative non-fiction as a writing style, if there might be room for that at Uloop.
Outside of college, I have held editorial internships at a national newspaper in my home country, Pakistan. I have worked with both the print and online offices of Dawn Newspaper, where I worked closely with editors to edit, proofread and occasionally write articles. These written articles, however were limited to reviews and event reporting. Currently, I have become involved with other popular publications in South Asia and will be writing for them soon.
Aside from all of this I am also a regular blogger on the web.
